Do you need to fulfill hours for court-ordered community service? Goodwill offers a Community Service Worker program in all 20 of our retail stores. A list of store locations can be found here. You must meet the following requirements:
· You must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
· Hours can be fulfilled at any time your assigned store is open. Store hours are from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. (subject to change)
· You must agree to a background check and are responsible for paying for the $14.00 cost of the background check. The background check cost covers only Connecticut. If you have lived in another state, have records in another state, or have gone by another name, there may be additional fees. You will be contacted, for your approval, prior to those additional fees being charged.
If any of the below offenses appear on the background check, you will be declined the opportunity to participate in the community service worker program. The cost of the background check is non-refundable.
a. Violent crime, which includes but is not limited to murder and assault;
b. Sex offenses;
c. Crimes involving theft; and
d. Crimes involving the sale of a controlled substance
